On July 13, Brother Cornell Walker, Glen Stone, Larry Penn, and Daryl Penn paid a meaningful visit to Discover Church, located in the heart of Brooklyn Park, Maryland. The visit served as an opportunity to engage with members of the local faith community, strengthen ties, and show support for the church’s ongoing work in the community. The brothers were warmly welcomed by church leadership and congregants and participated in fellowship during the service. This visit reflects a continued commitment to community engagement and faith-based partnership in support of families and youth in Northern Anne Arundel County.
June 10, 2025 - We sponsored a blood drive at the Severn Library in partnership with Children’s National Hospital. The event brought together 20 volunteers, including brothers, family, and community members, and resulted in the collection of 10 pints of blood. These donations have the potential to help save or improve the lives of up to 30 children in need of critical medical care.
May 31, 2025 - The Lambda Xi Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. proudly participated in Passport to Health: A Journey to Holistic Well-Being, a community wellness event hosted by the North Arundel Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in partnership with Food for Thought Community Outreach Services, Inc. The event served over 200 attendees and offered free health screenings, CPR training, and access to a wide range of health and educational resources. This impactful initiative promoted total wellness and showcased the strength of community collaboration in supporting the well-being of Anne Arundel County residents.
May 2, 2025 - Our inaugural First Friday event at Bubba’s 33 in Glen Burnie was a great success! Hosted by the brothers of Lambda Xi Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., the evening brought together friends, family, and community members for food, fellowship, and fun. Attendees enjoyed Bubba’s delicious menu, great music, and a welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for more events to come.
March 6, 2025 - The annual “Ques in Annapolis” gathering provides a crucial platform for Maryland’s Omega Psi Phi Fraternity chapters to engage with state lawmakers on key community issues. This event highlights the fraternity’s dedication to advocacy and civic engagement, empowering members to elevate the concerns of their communities and advocate for causes such as education, healthcare, and criminal justice reform. By fostering meaningful dialogue with policymakers, Omega men strengthen relationships, promote accountability, and ensure that the voices of marginalized and underserved communities are heard and represented.
February 22, 2025 & April 26, 2025- Volunteers came together for a meaningful food drive in partnership with the Food 4 Thought Foundation at Park Elementary School in Brooklyn Park. This impactful event was supported by Councilman Pete Smith, Anne Arundel County Police Chief Amal Awad, Corporal Rich Herard, and dedicated community volunteers, all working together to fight food insecurity and support local families.
